About Me

Hello!

My names Harps Kaur and I’m an award winning blogger and mummy to two – my precious little boy, Arjun, and my little superstar homie with an extra chromie, Saajan.  I married my real life superhero, Preetam in 2012 and we live in West London.

I started my blog when Arjun was 25 weeks old/almost 6 months.

I share my real life experiences with my readers, including the highs and lows of motherhood for me and my journey through PND and pregnancy post PND.   I journal our travel adventures and often share recipes  –  I have an Instagram page dedicated to the mini vegetarian meals I create for Arjun.  I’ve also become known for my party planning skills – it’s definitely my forte! I loved planning Arjun’s jungle themed first birthday bash and equally loved planning his construction themed second birthday! I sometimes delve in to the world of beauty to mask the evidence of sleepless nights!

Our second son was born with his surprise diagnosis of Down Syndrome.  To say it’s been an easy ride emotionally would be a lie – once we’d overcome the initial shock of his diagnosis, we also had to embark on our journey through seeing our little soldier endure open heart surgery.  Two life events that we never ever imagined we’d be facing!

Despite some of the hurdles we’ve faced, we are embracing and enjoying life to it’s absolute fullest! Through Saajan we have learnt so much about life and so much about Down Syndrome – it really isn’t the end of the world at all like we’d first thought!

My blog was crowned the Best Pre School Blog in the MAD Blog Awards 2016.

  1. Hey Harps,
Just wanted to say your such an inspiration, an amazing mummy and I love reading about your journey. You have such an adorable little boy (may waheguru bless him) so I’m Amrit I just had a little girl in January, now 14 weeks and we named her Gurmillie. Reading your blogs and Instagram is something I normally do when feeding Gurmillie. It keeps me going and awake. I have to say your doing an amazing job and love how u have now got me motivated to also follow in your footsteps especially when it comes to weaning her later on. I look forward to carrying on your journey with you and Arjun. Also as soon as I started following you about a week ago I had to vote for you as you are truly great at being a mummy and blogger for the rest of us mummy’s.

Lots of love from Amrit and Gurmillie

  2. Hello Harps,
I’d just like to start by saying congratulations on your blog and thank you for showing us the life you lead with your very handsome and beautiful family.
I’m currently in the genetic screening process with our second child. Did you know that baby Saajan had Down Syndrome before he was born?

  3. Hey Karen congratulations on your pregnancy! No we didn’t know Saajan would be born with Down Syndrome and we are so glad it was missed as we may not have him today!x
