Baby Brain Weekly Memoir … 27th March 2015

Hello all!

Hope you’ve had a good week! This post is a little late as we had a very busy Saturday yesterday!

Last Saturday night I had my first night out in London since I’ve been pregnant! It was for my friend Ruby’s hen. Preetam kept Arjun home and they had a daddy son evening whilst mummy went out and let her hair loose a little.

I had such a brilliant time catching up with the girls – some of which I hadn’t seen in over 10 years. We had lots of laughs reminiscing about the past and how much we’ve grown up. We started the evening off by playing hen games in a hotel room (LOTS OF LAUGHS) and later headed out to a restaurant called Momos just off Regent’s Street.  We had so much fun celebrating . It was also nice to go out with other mums and share our experiences – we were all excited to have a night off but we’re all yawning a lot earlier than the baby less mummies!

Preetam made Arjun homemade wholewheat pizza (I never get food like that made for me!) from scratch which he really enjoyed.  They spent the evening watching movies.  I managed to enjoy my night without thinking too much about what was going on at home – not sure if I sound like a bad mum for saying I wasn’t thinking about Arjun every two minutes but I think it’s because I knew he was in safe hands at home with his daddy and Preetam was sending me pictures on the hour!

I woke up the next morning with a sore throat from laughing so much – I don’t remember the last time I had such a laugh!

On Sunday, Arjun and I went to Riman’s house – one of my high school friends, we were joined by Amrita. Arjun really enjoyed being at his masi’s place and flashed Amrita and Riman with lots of smiles.  He had fun sliding around on the wood flooring – something a bit different to the carpet he’s used to at home!

I love spending time with my high school friends – we all become such big kids again and they never fail to make me laugh. I can’t wait for them to all have babies!

When we got home, Goov Masi came and joined us and we spent some time in the garden with Bruno and Preetam with the sun shining although it was a little nippy.  It was Arjun’s first time in the garden with Bruno. Bruno was over excited and showered Arjun with lots of kisses and Arjun spent most of his time outside crawling after Bruno – good luck keeping up Arjy!

This week I also made my first ever self video which was for a recipe for the mixed vegetable paronta’s that I make for Arjun:

Arjun also spent a day at his Dada Ji and Dadi Ji’s which he loved.  Dadi Ji baked him a baby cake for his 9 month birthday (check out his 9 month review here: 9 Month Update). He tried climbing the stairs at their house! How is he getting so smart?!  Arjun enjoyed playing with his Chacha Ji and we were later joined by Mane Puaji and Fufar Ji where we cut a cake for Mane’s 30th birthday.  Arjun gifted her with a personalised card which she loved, check out the full message here: A personalised birthday card for a chocaholic!

Arjun got to meet his little cousin brother Rajan again this week. He was overly excited and tried every opportunity to get to his little brother now that he’s mobile! He showed us his excitement by flapping his arms and edging towards Rajan! Any tiny sound that came out of Rajan’s mouth, Arjun was on his way there like lightening! I love how much he loves other kids!

I had my parents come to the rescue again this week as I felt so poorly on Wednesday so they took it in turns to come over and entertain Arjun whilst I napped (and took pictures! haha).

It was also my dad’s birthday this week so we celebrated by going for our first family meal out (since Arjun has been fully weaned) to Blue Zenzer.  It was such a lovely evening out and Arjun enjoyed his meal of garlic bread, cheese and tomato pizza and a few chips! As usual his table manners were immaculate (HAHA!).
