Hauck Sit n Relax High Chair Review

Hello All!

Below I’ve shared our review on the Hauck Sit n Relax high chair.

We purchased ours from Amazon for £99.99 at the time and it was delivered the next day thanks to Amazon Prime! Hauck Sit ‘n’ Relax Highchair (Bear)

As we don’t have a dining table, this narrowed our search for a high chair. We went for the Hauck Sit n Relax High Chair based on reviews – we searched high and low for a chair that suited our needs!

The highchair comes with two seat fittings – one for below 6 months and one for above 6 months.  We got this highchair when Arjun was 4 months old as we started weaning him at 4.5 months. The snugly baby fitting can be used whilst the baby is unable to sit up unaided providing support and comfort.  The seat can be reclined to an almost lying position so that your baby can sleep comfortably. We often used this to let Arjun drink his milk as well as starting off his weaning journey.  He took to it straight away.  The little toy mobile helped keep Arjun entertained too.

The 5 point harness belt makes this super secure.  The extra support between the legs is one of my favourite things about this high chair – it prevents the baby from sliding down and makes this highchair extremely secure.  With the inbetween leg support and the tray, there’s no getting out even without the 5 point harness belt!

The seat has a 7 point height adjustment – this is really handy for us as sometimes we feed Arjun by the coffee table whilst we eat dinner (as no dining table!), sometimes I sit on the floor and sometimes I sit on the sofa! It’s great that I can adjust his highchair height so that I’m not straining my back whilst feeding.  This would be perfect for most dining tables allowing the baby to socialise with the family at mealtimes.

The padded fabric cover on the seat can be removed and machine washed which is brilliant as ours is often left smeared with a rainbow of colours by the end of the day!

The sturdy base is perfect for a strong baby! Arjun often shuffles high chairs but thankfully  this one has a really sturdy base making it less appealing to try and move!  If you want to move the seat with baby in it, you can as there are wheels on the back legs

The 6 month plus seat can also be reclined which is useful for when Arjun is having milk in the high chair.

The highchair tray has a two position slide and clip mechanism which is really easy to use.  The tray is large which we’ve found particularly useful for baby led weaning as Arjun can be quite messy!  We often use the highchair for arts and crafts too as there’s ample space on the tray and it is also easy to wipe down.

We use the large under seat storage for our weaning bibs and a few muslins as well as a packet of wipes! You could easily use this storage for whatever you like as there’s so much space.

Although we don’t need to as we are fortunate enough to have the space, the chair can also be easily folded away if space is limited.

This seat is a bouncer as well as a high chair, however we didn’t use that feature as we had a separate swing.  But it’s good if space is limited saving you having to buy both. It can be used for napping but we decided against using the same equipment for sleeping and dining so not to confuse Arj although I’m sure it’s perfectly fine to do so!

Overall, we absolutely love this highchair and would strongly recommend it for the reasons outlined above!

Hope you found this review helpful!
