So Sunday marked my not so little baby’s 10 month birthday! I can’t believe we’ve moved on to double digits and his birthday is so soon! How did that happen?! The last 10 months feel like such a blur!

My Mini Meltdown this Morning

As you probably already know, I’ve shared my journey of motherhood – my highs and my lows.
It’s been (it feels like) a while since I really had a breakdown related to Arjun. This morning has made me realise that I’m still quite vulnerable and easily get myself in to a crazy state.

Arjun’s First Vaisakhi & Nagar Kirtan :)

Hello all,

Hope you’re keeping well!

Wednesday 14th April marked the 316th birthday of the Khalsa  – known as Vaisakhi. The Khalsa refers to those who collectively lead their lives as Sikhs in the image of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.  I thought I’d share a little background about Vaisakhi and Sikhism as it’s such an important part of my life 🙂

What is Vaisakhi?

Baby Brain Weekly Memoir … Baby TV 1st Birthday, A Baby Shower, Vaisakhi & Odd’s Farm! … 17th April 2015

Hello All!

Hope you had a great week!

We had a fun filled and pretty busy week!

On Saturday we had three functions – it was Arjun’s big sister Jeeya’s first birthday! We had the children’s party in the afternoon and a family party to celebrate in the evening.

I can’t believe a year has already passed. I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday – I was heavily pregnant and just a few months from giving birth and it all felt so surreal at the time.  But now our little princess is a year old and turning in to a right little madam! It’s been remarkable to watch her journey – as there’s only a few months between Arjun and Jeeya, it’s been amazing to see Jeeya reach a milestone and then watch Arjun mimic it a few months later when he plays catch up.  I’m so glad he’s blessed with lots of baby cousins to grow up with.  Watching Jeeya and Arjun interact from when they were so little to now has been fascinating. They are so cute together!  My cousin put together a beautiful montage of Jeeya’s first year – it was such a nice reflection of the past year and how much (and how quick!) she’s grown and was definitely tear jerking!

Daddy’s Birthday – Gurdwara, Farm n Food!

Hello All,

Hope you’re keeping well!

Thursday marked Preetam’s 31st birthday! His first as a daddy so we had to make it special.  All he’d asked for was a family day and wasn’t too bothered about what we did as long as Arjun was happy. I could appreciate this as that’s exactly what I wanted for Mother’s Day – I wasn’t bothered about materialistic gifts – especially as we have the most precious gift ever now, I just wanted to spend quality time as a family as we don’t often get to. We decided to opt for something pretty chilled out and it turned out to be a really nice day.

Baby Brain Weekly Memoir … 10th April 2015

Hello all!

Hope you’re had a fabulous week and made the most of this stunning weather!

This week was quite relaxing and we managed to get in some outdoors fun too – though not as much as I’d hoped for!

Arjun had his first trip to the park this week with his Nanaji and Harv masi and I later joined them.  It was the park that my dad used to take us girls to when we were little so there must have been a moment of nostalgia for my dad.  Arjun loved being at the park and was so excited by all the children around him that were shrieking with excitement running from the swings to the slides to the climbing frame – soon that’ll be him!

Mummy’s Right Hand (Virtual) Man … The Baby Connect App Review

With all the late nights, short naps and severe fatigue in the early days as a new mum dealing with a newborn, days merged in to nights and nights in to days so I was constantly confused/forgetting when I’d fed last, how much milk I’d given and how long he’d slept for!

Then I was introduced to the Baby Connect app and my life changed!

This app helped form the start of a dreamt-of routine as it allowed me to analyse and compare on graphs and easily spot patterns forming.

Baby Brain Weekly Memoir … 27th March 2015

Hello all!

Hope you’ve had a good week! This post is a little late as we had a very busy Saturday yesterday!

Last Saturday night I had my first night out in London since I’ve been pregnant! It was for my friend Ruby’s hen. Preetam kept Arjun home and they had a daddy son evening whilst mummy went out and let her hair loose a little.

I had such a brilliant time catching up with the girls – some of which I hadn’t seen in over 10 years. We had lots of laughs reminiscing about the past and how much we’ve grown up. We started the evening off by playing hen games in a hotel room (LOTS OF LAUGHS) and later headed out to a restaurant called Momos just off Regent’s Street.  We had so much fun celebrating . It was also nice to go out with other mums and share our experiences – we were all excited to have a night off but we’re all yawning a lot earlier than the baby less mummies!
