Saajan’s 5th Birthday Superhero Themed Party by Party Giant

What a fun filled day celebrating our little Hulk’s birthday with his class!

You guys know how much I love a theme and Sabrina and the Party Giant team did not fail to wow me yet again! I have a great appreciation for the finer details and Sabrina really went the extra mile – from the personalised placemats to the dress-up area she created, it was such a fun and immersive superhero paradise for Saajan and his friends ❤️

The cake was made by Slice of Sengupta and it was absolutely delicious … and eggless!

We had Mr Marvel providing the entertainment – without a doubt, the best children’s entertainer we’ve seen! Mr Marvel was recommended to us by friends and he definitely did not disappoint! ❤️

A big thank you to Excelsior Marquees for supplying the grown-up guilt chairs – fast, professional, and friendly service!

We had a fresh crepe stand for the kids and adults provided by our favourite suppliers, Kelly’s Occasions. No prizes for guessing my topping!

A huge thank you to Sach Devgon photography for the beautiful images!

My Sister’s Surprise 30th Birthday! | Review

You guys know how fussy I am where it comes to decor! I’ve always loved decorating and throwing a good party and while Arjun was younger, I enjoyed doing this myself … from his first jungle themed party, to his construction themed party but as the boys have gotten older and time has become even tighter as life has gotten busier, I simply don’t have the time anymore. That’s where Party Giant come in! Sabrina has exactly the same eye for detail as me and because of this I trust her wholeheartedly.

When we decided to work together on throwing an intimate surprise birthday get together for my sister Harv’s 30th, I knew Sabrina would work her magic and it would be breath-taking.

Sabrina works very closely with her clients and really gets to know them – her friendly and personable demeanour makes it an absolute pleasure to work with her. When we spoke, I told Sabrina that I trusted her to create a vision and to execute that – for those of you that know me, you’ll know what a HUGE deal this is. But it demonstrates just how much faith I have in her.

We decided to go for a boho theme low picnic seating option for an afternoon tea followed by a cinema igloo experience provided by their sister company, London Igloos.

Sabrina and her team are very professional, efficient and the care and love they put in to the set up is Crystal clear. They go that extra mile to really personalise your experience so no two set ups are the same.

I knew Sabrina was talented, I knew she dreamt BIG but my goodness, it was the most spectacularly gorgeous set up I’ve seen! The pastel coloured balloons were adorned with gorgeous dried boho bouquets. The wooden picnic table dressed with straw mats, rustic wooden disks and stunning golden cutlery housed beautiful mini cork bottles filled with chocolate buttons and a personalised message. My personal favourite were the hanging rope swings – I loved them!

Harv was absolutely blown away as were her friends! The set up was so dreamy and it was such a special treat for everyone there.

I sourced the afternoon tea from the lovely Miss JCP Tea’s who provides afternoon tea crockery hire as well as food. Jas created a beautiful set up to display the food making it almost too good to eat! The food was divine! Jas makes the food herself – the Oreo cheesecake and scones were a huge hit with the ladies! I’d highly recommend Miss JCP Tea for a one stop shop for your afternoon tea needs. It took the stress out of the event and meant I could also really enjoy myself.

The birthday cake was by Delicacies by M. It was delicious in taste and looked beautiful too. Manpreet ensured the dried florals on top matched the theme perfectly.

After our delicious afternoon tea and a bit of a boogie, we headed out to the igloo provied by Party Giant’s sister company, London Igloos.

The igloo experience was brilliant! The personalisation and attention to detail to ensure the boho theme continued was second to none! Sabrina also checked what Harv’s favourite snacks were prior to the event and the snack trolley included inside was full of her favourites which everyone enjoyed feasting on during the movie. The igloo itself comes with cute decor to enhance the experience as well as a cosy futon filled with beautiful cushions, blankets and a heater to ensure you’re kept toasty!

The team took us through the projector set up beforehand and it was really simple to use.

We enjoyed being cosy, snacking and having a right ol’ giggle!

Party Giant and London Igloos provide a beautiful immersive experience for those milestone celebrations. It was definitely one we’ll all remember!

The next day, we headed to the igloo with some of the boys’ toys, snacks and a drink and we enjoyed a family day in there! I even managed to get a two-hour nap!

It was such a special weekend. Thank you Sabrina and the team!

I’ll leave the beautiful pictures below for you to admire!! Pictures by Sach Devgon Photography.

Disclosure: for transparency, we were gifted the decor and igloo experience however all opinions expressed are my own.

Saajan’s Third Birthday Party – Peppa Pig x Baby Shark

Celebrating our boys is something that we don’t hold back on – for Saajan, we celebrate even harder as he fought for his life at such a tender age and we are forever grateful that he is with us today. As always, I wanted something personal to my guy, he loves Peppa Pig and also loves a little boogie to Baby Shark so it was a Peppa Pig x Baby Shark party! I turned to my trusted party planner – The Mini Maniacs and let her work her creative magic! It was a breath taking set up which came to life with the amazing flooring which made the entire set up absolutely magical!

The entertainment was also provided by the Mini Maniacs and as always they catered it to Saajan’s favourite things. His favourite song to dance to is Dame Tu Cosita and we were absolutely thrilled that he took his first couple of steps at his party to his favourite tune for everyone to witness and celebrate with us!

Disney Car’s Theme 5th Birthday Party

You’ll know by now, I love to throw a good ol’ kids birthday party – I feel like it’s a playground for me to be able to execute my creativity. However, with work, being a mummy, taking care of the house and blogging, time can be scarce. Our spare room is also bursting at the seams with party supplies that I’ve collected over the years so when I met Rav from Mini Maniacs and saw her work, I knew she was the absolute solution to my problem! I’m still able to execute my creativity with someone like minded while not having to worry about the logistics, storage AND I save time! Rav absolutely smashed it with Saajan’s 2nd space themed birthday party and I was super excited to be working with her again for Arjun’s 5th birthday – a birthday that I wanted to celebrate hard. A milestone birthday. It was an emotional one for me! We decided to go for a Disney Car’s theme party with a bit of a carnival/fun fair theme. We had 55 children attend and we wanted something for everyone. Rav and I discussed our visions and I let her run with it. I was definitely not disappointed! From the setting of the food buffet table (my favourite part of his parties!) to the gorgeous birthday cake table backdrop which included a gorgeous canvas print produced by Print Station which really bought the theme to life in our back garden. Rav also decorated the kids tables and chairs – something she puts so much love and attention to detail in. The kids tables and chairs were hired from Birthday Dreams. We also set up a crafts table – I ordered some car’s key ring crafts sets which I thought the children could attach to their school book bags as well as some car’s key magnet sets for the table from Baker Ross. Leanne from Mini Maniacs managed the crafts table ensuring everything ran smoothly. Mini Maniacs also provided entertainment towards the end of the party which the younger kids especially really enjoyed! As always, it was full of high energy and music!
We also had a face painter on the day – something we’ve not had since Arjun’s first birthday party! Shailee’s work is like nothing I’ve ever seen before – absolutely breathtaking! She’s so fast and her creations are breathtaking! I would highly recommend her for even grown up parties – her work is seriously impressive and she’s super friendly! We hired a rush slide and a kids bouncy castle from the Big Bounce Theory which was a big hit with the 5 year olds! I set up the kids construction site that we also had set up at Arjun’s 2nd birthday party. We also had go karts which were manned by the company, Kids n Karts. The children really enjoyed racing around and there was a medal ceremony at the end for the birthday boy.
Our favourite ice cream man, Andy from Snowball Ice Cream was also here providing the kids and adults alike with delicious ice cream throughout the day! I think he’s the only ice cream man who actually still only charges 99p for a 99! His fun personality is always a great hit too! The adults food was provided by one of my all-time favourite caterers – Sat Kul caterers whose food tastes like home cooked food. Regular catered food is always seeping with oil but I’ve always found their food to be of such a high standard and so tasty and not oily! They are the loveliest bunch of people who work with you to create the right menu for the occasion. We opted for an assortment of starters – spring rolls, aloo tikka and shollay, aloo papdri chaat and chilli paneer (obviously!). Our day was beautifully captured by Shiv from Shivisuals – he is such a down to earth guy who went out of his way to get Arjun warmed up to him before the event. We spoke about the layout of the day so he was aware of the set up beforehand. He captured the day so beautifully and we’ll definitely be using him again! Our super cool cake was provided by the fabulous Tranam at Rozay Cakes who never fails to impress with her cakes – both in design and taste! The party bags were Car’s ruck sacks that I found on eBay which contained a car shaped puzzle, a marker, a set of paints and paintbrushes, some snacks, a car shaped eraser and a slinky.
All in all, Arjun had a brilliant 5th birthday and we enjoyed it just as much! We had lovely feedback from all those that attended! A big thank you to those that helped on the day – forever grateful to our friends like family! Disclosure: The party décor was provided at cost price and entertainment was gifted by The Mini Maniacs, the face painting and photography was gifted in exchange for an honest and open blog post – all opinions stated above are my own.

Saajan’s 2nd Space Themed Birthday by The Mini Maniacs | Review

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m no stranger to party planning – it’s definitely my forte and what makes me tick! From Arjun’s first jungle themed party, to his second birthday construction themed party (which was inspired by our building work and his love for building!), his third birthday Paw Patrol party to his fourth birthday PJ masks and superhero party to Saajan’s first birthday Winter Onderland party, it’s fair to say it’s something that I absolutely love doing! As much as I love the creativity that comes with party planning, being back at work, managing the boys and life in general, coupled with the bursting storage room that houses all of the items from the above parties, I knew teaming up with a company that has the same intricate attention to detail which manifests in to a beautiful overall masterpiece, would be the solution to not creating even more work for myself (and having to find hidden pockets of potential storage space in the house!)! Mini Maniacs specialise in organising bespoke magical parties and events for children of all ages. You only have to have a quick glimpse of their Instagram page which looks like an immaculate display of the various parties that they’ve themed to know that this was absolutely the right company for me to team up with! They are a one stop shop for parents looking to organise the dreamiest birthday party for their children however do not have the time to do so – just what I need. Given it’s my passion, I wouldn’t settle for anything other than the very best and I was definitely not disappointed! Mini Maniacs work together with their clients to provide an end to end party planning service from venue sourcing right to the very end – party bags! They carefully help select a theme according to the age. Rav sent me several options for Saajan’s birthday based on the feedback I’d provided her on his interests. We decided on a space theme as a far greater meaning than just bright coloured rockets…

I want Saajan to know that the entire universe is his oyster …

He can achieve whatever he puts his mind to despite the challenges he may face on the way! Plus, he made such an adorable little astronaut! When deciding on the décor, Rav sent me several options to get a feel for what I had in mind. Rav and I met up twice before the party to discuss our ideas and for her to see the space we had to work with – so that we could visualise. Rav really took the time to understand my likes and dislikes and to figure out what really makes me tick and what I look for when hosting a party. I think I’m probably one of her most challenging clients to date – not because I was a partyzilla, more because I have the same passion for party planning as her and that in itself I know she found nerve wracking! We worked together and bounced our ideas off of each other. One thing that I adore about Rav is how down to earth she is – she’s so willing to listen to her client’s needs with patience and her love for what she does really shines through. Rav sent me a few invitation mock ups for me to select my preference – something that I really loved, having options! She provided me with both an e-invite option and also a few hard copies. I must admit, the night before the party where I’d usually have the entire backdrop done (because it’s my own house!), I was feeling slightly panicked at the thought of most things being done the morning before the party forgetting that actually Rav is a pro at this and her team usually only have about 2 hours to set up when doing so at an outside venue! The end product was absolutely breath taking – from the star cloth backdrop, to the epic rocket and planet balloons, to the table styling and the cake table set up, I truly was blown away. We also ended up deciding on a fabulous starry backdrop for the entertainment area which really made the theme come to life and provided a gorgeous backdrop for the images.
It felt so amazing to not have to worry about preparing decorations weeks and months in advance, or worrying about storing them or how I’d manage the children while putting it all together but STILL having an amazing outcome without all the hard work! It meant I wasn’t as stressed on the day as I’d usually be. It meant I went to bed on time the night before. The food table styling, balloons, cake plinths and backdrop would cost approximately £650 (excluding delivery and setup). As well as the décor and party styling, Mini Maniacs also provide children’s entertainment ranging from an entertainer in a costume to crafts tables to science parties! Rav and I discussed Saajan’s love for lights, music and bubbles and the entertainment was so beautifully created for him in mind. To see Saajan having the absolute time of his life is something we will never forget – Leanne and Rav were so attentive in ensuring he was the focus of the entertainment and he sure did lap it up! Leanne dressed up as an astronaut and the entertainment included dancing, music, sensory, a light show, story time, parachute and of course, baby shark! I literally can’t express in to words how beautiful it was for us to see Saajan enjoying himself so much – I received so many messages from our guests commenting on how heart-warming it was to see him having so much fun! Their entertainment packages with a character/princess start from £179 for 1 hour and go up to £279 for 2 hours. Rav was also able to source the kiddies tables and chairs which the team styled and also these incredible cake pops which looked like a work of art! She was able to fulfil any request I had for the party! Although Mini Maniacs also offer a party bag service, I’d spotted these “paint your own” rocket and star shaped money boxes and decided to go with those. I made the colourful rockets filled with goodies for the younger guests.
A huge thank you to Sonal of Photography by Sonal S for donating her time to photograph the event – a wonderful soul who was non-stop behind the lens that day to capture our special moments. Sonal contacted me in advance of the event to discuss the layout of the day, key things I’d like captured and the type of photography I like. She arrived on the day an hour earlier than the event to get to know the children and also to get a feel for the space. Thank you so much Sonal. All the images I’ve shared, were taken by Sonal. The main birthday cake was by Rozay Cakes who never fails to impress – the rainbow sponge wowed Arjun especially and everyone commented on how delicious the cake tasted! Tranam always ensures she tailors our cakes to be personalised – I’ll always find a cloud in ours! A huge thank you to Kelly’s Occasions for the crepe stall – it always goes down a treat especially when it’s nippy outside! I got my Nutella fix and they were also kind enough to make us savoury crepes! We’ve used them so many times and they never fail to impress! “We believe every child is unique, and their birthday should be personal and magical to encourage their wildest worlds of make believe.” … We were over joyed with the outcome and it was an absolute pleasure to work with Rav and her team … Thank you Rav and all at Mini Maniacs for throwing such a magical party for Saajan’s second birthday and for bringing my vision to life and leaving us with memories of a life time! We are so grateful! Disclosure: The party décor and entertainment was gifted by The Mini Maniacs in exchange for an honest and open blog post – all opinions stated above are my own. The photography and images was gifted by Sonal Photography in exchange for social media coverage. The crepe stall was provided at a discounted rate in exchange for social media coverage by Kelly’s Occasions.

Saajan’s First Birthday Winter Onederland Themed Party

I’ve been meaning to share pictures of Saajan’s first birthday – a Winter Onederland themed party for a while now, but we had so many images that it’s taken a while to sift through them!

I wanted to celebrate Saajan’s first year of life big as we are so grateful to have him after his open heart surgery. He really is our special little champ!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know how much I love decorating the house for Christmas, given Saajan’s birthday falls quite soon after, we decided to do his first birthday as an extension of that! We even managed a little 1st birthday cake smash – cake provided by Bake It Boutique.

We hope you love it!

We hired Mini Maniacs for our entertainment and they certainly kept the kids entertained!

Our gorgeous custom made cake was by Rozay Cakes – our go to girl who incorporated the theme with Saajan’s love for motorbikes!

Afternoon Tea Themed Bridal Shower

As everyone knows, I love party planning – decorating is my absolute favourite thing to do at an event! My sister, Harv, and I recently hosted a surprise bridal shower for our other sister, Goov who will be getting married very soon. Goov is an absolute God send and we’re so grateful for everything that she does for us – we really wanted to give her a special send off.  I wanted every single little detail to be perfect!

I thought I’d share a few pictures of the decor. I’ve been asked lots of questions about our party bits, so I have a new Instagram page (Baby Brain Party Hire) where I’m going to start hiring our party bits out as we have SO much from Paw Patrol to jungle theme!

Goov was definitely surprised and we all had so much fun and everyone was in a semi food coma after the spread!

Arjun’s Paw Patrol 3rd Birthday Party

Hi Guys!

I can’t believe our little tornado is 3. I’ve found the last few months particularly heartbreaking as we’ve been so emotionally all over the place and in the blink of an eye he seems to have grown up so much! He has the biggest personality – he’s so helpful, so thoughtful and considerate (most of the time), hilarious with his one liners and come backs, is the sweetest and kindest brother to Saajan and doesn’t feel like a toddler anymore. He feels like a little boy!:(

I’m so anti character themed parties (no idea why!) hence why we picked a jungle theme for his first birthday and a construction theme for his second but this year Arjun picked his own – he asked for a Paw Patrol themed party. How could I refuse? I love that he’s old enough to have an opinion and contribute to decisions. It made planning the whole thing even more exciting as I know how much he loves Paw Patrol!

This is probably the lowest key party we’ve done so far (party planning is my forte and I ALWAYS get carried away!). I used the opportunity to distract me from Saajan’s surgery and pretty much had most things ready before the surgery.

I was extra excited for the day as Arjun now has “proper” friends at nursery and asked for them to also be there. It’s the first time he’d have friends that he’s chosen present – it really hit home just how much he’s grown up. He’d wake up every day and ask me if he’s 3 yet – slow down baby boy, one day you’ll be wishing you could go back!! He was super excited for his party and to have his friends there.

Here are the details:

Decor

Previously, we’ve had to hire a marquee due to the unpredictable British weather! However, this year I was adamant that we wouldn’t be spending an arm and a leg on a marquee and would make do with the extra space we’ve been blessed with through our extension. It also meant I could start decorating earlier – something I was really grateful for given I now have two kids to juggle!

I decided to go with bold and bright Paw Patrol colours as opposed to Paw Patrol decor – simply because it only comes in the three primary colours and that didn’t really appeal to me. I wanted it to be fun loving and vibrant!

We got a balloon arch made for the entrance which featured paw print balloons, a few coloured bunches to scatter and lots of floating cloud balloons (how could I not?!).  We used Balloon Kingdom – Susan never fails to deliver!

We also used colourful paper lanterns to decorate the house and the garden. They’re cheap and effective and they really lit the place up. I managed to recycle the green, yellow and orange ones that we used at Arjun’s first birthday which I was pleased about!

The huge foam bone mats were a super lucky find at a store called The Range in Birmingham when visiting family. They were a bargain at £1 each! They were a great filler and brightened up the backdrop and the cake cutting table and went so well with the theme.

I purchased bunting off eBay – lots of it! And we managed to spruce up the garden with it.

I also purchased a Paw Patrol birthday backdrop for the garden for pictures.

I printed the Paw Patrol sayings (if you know, you know!), characters and badges at home on A3 paper.

Food

For those of you that know me, know that displaying the kids food is my absolute favourite part of the whole planning process! A bit sad really!! I’ve enjoyed doing it every single year, but this year has been my favourite by far!

I made our own food labels in the shape of a dog bone and used creative names to label the food (e.g. Paw-tato and Pupcakes!).

I normally use three round tables to display the food but this year I decided to use our dining table and I’m so glad we did! We used a grass like table cover.

I handmade colourful boxes to represent each pup (mimicking their dog bowl patterns) to display the food on. I purchased the sheriff stickers for Chase’s blue boxes from ETSY and also the recycling ones for Rocky’s green boxes and the anchors for Zuma’s orange boxes were also from ETSY. A big thank you to Claire who custom designed them for us! I purchased the clouds for Skye’s pink boxes from eBay and hand drew the bolts on Rubble’s yellow boxes and the ladders on Marshall’s red boxes myself. I absolutely LOVED how they turned out!

I also purchased a few picket fences from Tiger and painted them white to hold the drinks in. They really gave it a cute garden feel. I also purchased two grass and daisy baskets from Tiger to hold the baby pouches in – again they added a really nice touch to the display.

I used dog bowls to hold the food and used paw shaped transfers to decorate them. I purchased the smaller metal shaped bone bowls from Tiger, the split bone bowls from eBay and the smaller round dog bowls from eBay. I’ve since distributed them to our family and friends with pets!

I struggled to find inflatable Paw Patrol characters or cardboard cutouts, so I handmade standup characters for the display myself – it was fiddly but they were so worth it! I’ve been able to reuse them in Arjun’s Paw Patrol themed bedroom too.

I purchased a sky cloud backdrop as the scene setter. I also purchased two paper lantern rainbow hot air balloonswhich Arjun loved!

We used the bone mats and the printed sayings and badges too.

My super creative and talented sister handmade Arjun’s birthday sign as she does every year – it was genius! She has her own business, if you’re interested!

Menu:

This year I didn’t get catered food for the adults. Instead I leaned on the trusty grandmas!

Kid’s Menu and food labels:

Adult food:

  • Samoseh
  • Spring rolls
  • Paneer
  • Chaat
  • Dokra
  • Crisps

Entertainment
I decided to try a different entertainer this year after not being completely satisfied the previous year. My sister in law recommended Froggle Parties and I’m so glad she did! They were superb with communicating prior to the event and John was really great at engaging the children. John made an extra effort to warm the children up prior to starting the main entertainment slot which really helped. The bubble tower went down really well – John fulfilled Arjun’s wishes of being in a bubble tower with his best buddies too and the mums got involved!

We couldn’t have a Paw Patrol themed party without Arjun’s favourite character making an appearance! We hired Chase from Wiggly Woos, what I didn’t know was that there’d be even more entertainment included! They were fantastic value for money and the children had a really great time meeting and greeting Chase.

We decided to hire an ice cream van again this year as it always goes down a treat and it takes care of dessert too! Andy is one of very few ice cream men around that actually charges 99p for a 99!

We hired an adult fun run from Bounce Krazee which the kid’s and adults alike loved. And we also hired a smaller Paw Patrol bouncy castle from Castle Kingdom.

We set up “Rubble’s Construction Zone” using the bits we’d collected from Arjun’s 2nd birthday construction party.

Cake
This year we kept the cake quite simple – Daljit did a great job and the cake was one of the best we’ve ever had taste wise!

Party bags
As usual I got slightly carried away! I decided to get Paw Patrol drawstring bags instead of actual party bags – I figured these would be useful and children could use them – I’ve received so many messages since the party about how much the kid’s love their new bags and they’re being used for all sorts from swimming bags, to nursery bags to toy bags! The party bags consisted of a mixture of the following:

  • Paw Patrol pencils that I purchased from PoundLand
  • Paw Patrol reading book from B&M – absolutely brilliant buy at £1 each
  • Fisher Price colouring books with crayons from PoundLand
  • Paw Patrol eggs
  • Paw Patrol chocolate coins
  • Paw Patrol chocolate lollies
  • Bubbles
  • Plastic dinosaur figurines
  • Heart shaped plastic bangles
  • Bouncy balls

Costumes

I absolutely loved our costumes this year! They were semi hand made.

  • Chase: the main star of the show decided on wanting to be Chase. We purchased the costume online.
  • Rubble: We dressed Saajan as Rubble using a plain white babygrow underneath and I handmade a felt yellow jacket and handmade the badge. His supercute knitted hat was purchased from ETSY.
  • Marshall: I purchased a plain red gillet for Preetam and purchased a ready made badge and stitched it on. His hat was handmade using a plastic fireman hat, rolled up black card and foil for the torch. The badge was printed at home and the ears were handmade using felt.
  • Skye: I purchased a plain pink gillet for myself and purchased a ready made badge and stitched it on. I purchased a plain pink alice band and two plastic pink bangles for the base of the goggles, I used foil as the lens and purchased fur for the ears.
  • Zuma: I purchased a plain orange gillet for my sister Goov and handmade the badge and stitcted it on. We purchased a cycling helmet and printed the badge for the hat at home.
  • Rocky: I purchased a plain green gillet for my sister Harv and handmade the badge and stitched it on. The cap was a lucky find on ASOS and the badge was printed at home.

All in all, we had a brilliant day celebrating and Arjun had the best day with his family and friends! x

My Baby Sprinkle

I’m fortunate enough to have two sisters who decided to host a mini baby sprinkle for me. I had a big one when pregnant with Arjun with all my friends and family but this time something lower key was an excuse to relax for the day.
Last year:

Knowing exactly what I’m like and knowing how hectic life has been recently, they decided to host a PJ party at my parents house. It was just what I needed with just a few close friends and lots of yummy food. I had a fun filled afternoon catching up with some of my closest.

They went for a yellow and grey colour scheme which I absolutely loved! They used paper lanterns and pom poms, bunting and my sister made a homemade sign (she’s a pro and makes all our signs!).

The dress code was pyjamas – blue/pink depending on what my friends believe I’m having this time. As you can see, a majority are team pink! I made myself and Arjun our signature baby brain blue cloud leggings and matching PJ tops.

My gorgeous cake was made by the lovely Tranam at Rozay Cakes – she never ceases to amaze me with her beautiful creations. I loved the little bunting and clouds that her and Goov designed together.

The favours were little teacups with a nutella cupcake made by SugarBakes – my favorite cupcakes ever!

There was lots of delicious food including my mums yummy tandoori paneer, Subway sandwich platters, lots of M&S afternoon tea bits and samosas obviously (I’m obsessed!). My favourite was the mini chocolate fountain, yum!

The twins hosted a whole range of fun filled games which included:

  • Windy Washing Line: a chaotic game where each person competes to hang as many clothes up on a washing line with windy weather, a baby in tow and a ringing telephone!
  • Feed the Baby Blindfolded: where one person feeds another person a whole pouch whilst blindfolded! – Thank goodness we covered the carpets! Haha!
  • Pin the Dummy on the Baby

All in all, I had such a fun filled day. It was just what I needed to make for a relaxed day with my closest girlfriends!

Forever grateful to my sisters for all their efforts and for always showering me with so much love – it was a perfect day!   x

8 Ways to Make Life Easier When Hosting A Dinner Party

Christmas is one of my most favourite times of the year but with so many get togethers and also hosting Christmas Day, things can get a little stressful! Here are my 8 tips on how to make your life easier at Christmas and dinner parties in general:

1) Prepare as much of the food you can the day before – We par boiled the roast potatoes, prepared the pie and prepped the Quorn roast the night before.

2) Buy pre prepared stuff – I’m not always a fan of pre prepared food items but to make my life easier, last year we bought a soykey that was already prepared from Vegustos.

3) Aluminium trays – always great as it saves on the washing and they often come in larger sizes which are good for larger gatherings.

4) Make sure the dishwasher is empty before your guests arrive so it’s quick and easy to load dirty dishes.

5) Set the table the night before.

6) Use a disposable table cover – you get some really pretty ones that can also be thrown away straight after – saves additional clearing up!

7) Keep take away containers! Sometimes left overs are a nightmare to deal with, keep take away containers to share the leftovers with your guests – sharing is a great way to not pile on even more Christmas pounds!

8) Make a list! Last year, I had a clear list of order in which to cook dishes. It really helped and also meant all the food finished cooking at around the same time.

Do you have any others?x
